Female Focus Clinic

About

Barbara Chesworth

Welcome to Female Focus

Helping you regain control and confidence.

At Female Focus you will receive assessment and treatment from a specialist, and my passion is to empower each patient to take control of their health and their life.

I established the clinic in August 2018 after 15 years working in the NHS, frustrated by the limitations of the service and the number of women who were struggling without adequate support.

Why Do Women Need Help?

Women are often not given adequate information about the physical effects of childbirth on their bodies. In France, postpartum physiotherapy is routinely offered to all new mothers — this is simply not the case in the UK.

Pelvic dysfunction affects women of all ages and stages of life, not just new mothers. Specialist physiotherapy can make a real difference and exercise and movement should be encouraged, not restricted.

Let's Talk About It

There is still a stigma surrounding pelvic health issues and many women are embarrassed to seek help. At Female Focus, everything is completely private and confidential. You don't need to struggle alone.

You can reach me by email or phone — I'm more than happy to answer any questions before you book your first appointment.

Clinic Location

The clinic is based at Yew Tree Wellness in Alderley Edge, which is purpose designed to meet the needs of all women, with a downstairs waiting room exclusively for patients.
